In addition to his expertise in economic law, Dominique Andrieux is experienced in the management of national and international projects, particularly in the industrial sector. He also works in the field of agri-food law with specific experience in the cooperative world.

Dominique Andrieux studied business law and Anglo-American law (DEJAA) at the University of Clermont-Ferrand until 1980.

After teaching comparative law at the University of Detroit School of Law (USA) from 1980 to 1981, Dominique Andrieux pursued a career as a manager and then as a legal director in various industrial sectors, beginning with the oil and gas steel construction sector.

In addition to formative stints in the veterinary pharmaceutical sector (VIRBAC) and equipment manufacturers in the textile sector (LECTRA), he spent eleven years with the MICHELIN Group in charge of international cases, then of European coordination in business law.

Dominique Andrieux joined the legal profession in 1998, when he joined FIDAL, the leading law firm in France. He participated in the national steering of economic law and intellectual property, and managed as Associate Director the department in charge of these subjects at the Central Regional Management.

SHis last professional experience within Groupe Limagrain, led him to manage transverse legal teams worldwide, at the head office and across 14 “Business Units”, as Group Legal Director, and to assist managers and operational staff in their activities.

From 1996 to 2010, Dominique Andrieux was a lecturer at the Ecole Supérieure de Commerce de Clermont-Ferrand for the Master II in International Project Management, as well as for various Master’s degrees in Law and Economics (International Competitiveness) at the University of Clermont-Ferrand I and II.

Dominique Andrieux was President of the Auvergne Committee of French Foreign Trade Advisors from 2006 to 2013.

Dominique Andrieux is a mediator and attended the CMAP training in 2009. He is a member of the National Association of Mediators (ANM).

International contracts lawyer on shore & offshore
Amrep Group

As soon as he returned from the United States, Dominique Andrieux was recruited by a manufacturer of offshore oil platforms and began to travel the world to negotiate international contracts for work (West Africa, Nigeria, Norway, England…).

1983 - 1986

Legal Manager
Virbac

In order to evolve and broaden her skills, Dominique Andrieux joined the Virbac Laboratory in Nice. Dr. Dick and Secretary General Boissy, recruited him to be the first legal manager of this group which was still in its emergent phase.

He strengthened his skills in economic law – an emerging field at the time – by attending Professor Farjat’s courses in Nice and strengthened his knowledge of intellectual property.

1986 - 1992 et 1994 - 1998

International Legal Director
Michelin Group

Philippe Croizat – Michelin’s Global General Counsel, who was to become his mentor – suggested that Dominique Andrieux join the Michelin legal team. Born and raised in Auvergne, Dominique Andrieux did not hesitate to join this company with enthusiasm.

He spent a total of just over 11 years there and was involved in many major projects, including the reorganization of the group in 1996. Dominique Andrieux continues his international missions in the USA – Maghreb – Syria – India – Europe – Asia – West Africa – Eastern countries – Russia.

Working at the Clermont-Ferrand headquarters, he developed his expertise in group functional coordination. 

1992 - 1994

Dominique Andrieux becomes General Counsel of Lectra when the company is acquired by an investor and joins the management team. He then experienced the reality of post-acquisition integration. He will continue to negotiate various international contracts and disputes: North Africa – USA – Japan – Hong Kong – Singapore…

1998 - 2010

Although his career path did not predestine him to become a lawyer, Dominique Andrieux was recruited in 1998 by the law firm Fidal and very quickly became Associate Director in charge of the Economic and International Law Department. 

This top-ranking firm allows him to strengthen his technical skills in his preferred fields, thanks in particular to a close relationship with Professor Didier Ferrier, Fidal’s advisor in economic law.

He is also in charge of coordinating the Greater South-East Region’s economic law offices and travels abroad very often, with at least one week per month in Asia or the Indian Ocean.

2011 - 2017

Group General Counsel and Director of Progress (compliance)
Limagrain group

In 2011, Groupe Limagrain called on Dominique Andrieux to organize, develop and manage its worldwide legal team, which gave him the opportunity to put to good use his experience in coordinating cross-functional networks.

He then took over the supervision and coordination of several functions: Legal, Insurance, Security/Safety, CSR, Risk Management and GMO Quality Assurance.

The development of Groupe Limagrain being very important during these years, Dominique Andrieux intervenes directly or in relation with his teams in many acquisition projects in France and abroad (Thailand – South Africa – Poland – USA…).

2018 - 2019

At the end of his mission at Limagrain, Dominique Andrieux retired, without stopping working. Dominique Andrieux joined Dominique Adenot at Labonne et Associés to develop economic and international law.

By creating this new firm with a partner who has the same objectives and whom he has known since university, Dominique Andrieux finally has the opportunity to put into practice his knowledge and convictions forged during a career dedicated to companies and international business.

He was the president of the Auvergne committee from 2006 to 2013.

He is currently Vice President. 

He has served on the National Board of Directors of the CCEF since 2020.

Dominique Andrieux is a Mediator trained by the CMAP.

Dominique Andrieux is a member of the National Association of Mediators (ANM). 

Dominique Andrieux is a member of the French Association for the Study of Competition (AFEC). 

Dominique Andrieux co-directs the University Diploma in Governance, Risk and Compliance at the University of Clermont Auvergne which he co-founded in 2017.
